These terms cover how the Ekhowley Co catalogue works, what you can expect from us when you place an order, and where our responsibility ends. They apply to every visit to this site and to every quote or order placed through it.
Listings describe handmade homeware, textiles and kitchen objects. Sizes, glazes and fibre tones vary between pieces because most items are made by hand in small studios. You may browse, build a quote list and place orders for delivery within South Africa. Republishing our photography or listing text elsewhere requires written permission.
A quote list is not a confirmed order. We confirm stock, lead time and delivery details before anything is dispatched. Trade enquiries from interior stylists, guesthouses and small retailers are quoted separately, and sample requests are reviewed case by case. If an item sells out between quote and confirmation, we will say so and suggest an alternative.
Care notes on each listing are part of the product description. Stoneware should be washed as directed, linen washed cold and dried in shade, and woven palm kept out of prolonged direct sun. Damage caused by ignoring these instructions, or by normal wear over years of daily use, is not treated as a fault in the item.
We are responsible for packing and dispatching orders correctly and for describing items accurately. We are not responsible for courier delays outside our control, for delivery addresses entered incorrectly, or for indirect losses such as missed events or replacement purchases. Where a piece arrives damaged, report it with photographs within seven days of delivery.
We may decline or cancel an order if stock is unavailable, if listing details were clearly misread, or if an account is used to scrape catalogue content or place speculative bulk requests without intent to buy. You may stop using the site at any time. Orders already confirmed and dispatched are handled under the terms in force when they were placed.
